Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration shall ensure that security screening checkpoints have real-time connectivity to the Administration’s Secure Flight vetting system. Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration shall develop and implement a plan to improve the capabilities of the Administration’s Secure Flight program, including— improving coordination between Secure Flight and air carriers; reducing screening errors resulting from inaccurate or delayed Secure Flight data; and identifying additional resources needed to upgrade information technology systems of Secure Flight.
