Subparagraph
(J)of section 2001(3) of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 601(3) ) is amended by inserting , including election infrastructure before the period at the end. Subsection
(d)of section 201 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 121 ), as amended by title II of this Act, is further amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph: To provide timely threat information regarding election infrastructure to the chief State election official of the State with respect to which such information pertains. . In carrying out the responsibilities under section 2202 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 652 ), the Director of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency may— upon request, provide State and local election jurisdictions, with— technical assistance with election infrastructure; cyber hygiene service for internet-facing systems; risk and vulnerability assessments; incident response assistance; and provide physical and protective security tools, training and resources; and employ field-base cybersecurity advisors and protective security advisors.
