In the event that the Secretary determines that a resurgence of the COVID–19 threat has resulted in economic conditions that warrant an extension or renewal of recovery compensation assistance to businesses under this Act, the Secretary shall— notify Congress of such determination no later than 2 calendar days after making such determination; and direct the Special Administrator to accept new and updated applications for recovery compensation under this Act.
