Notwithstanding section 701 of division I of the Omnibus Parks and Public Lands Management Act of 1996 ( 16 U.S.C. 497c ), section 7 of the Act of April 24, 1950 (64 Stat. 84, chapter 97; 16 U.S.C. 580d ), section 302 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 ( 43 U.S.C. 1732 ), and section 803(h) of the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act ( 16 U.S.C. 6802(h) ), ski area permit and rental fees authorized under those sections shall be temporarily waived and not required to be paid to the United States for the period beginning on March 13, 2020, and ending on June 1, 2021, due to the COVID–19 pandemic, provided the following conditions are met:
The permit or lease was issued before March 13, 2020. The permit or lease is in effect on the date of enactment of this Act. The permit or lease holder was in good standing as of March 13, 2020.
