Sec. 1009. Clarification of educational assistance for individuals who pursue an approved program of education leading to a degree while on active duty

Section 3313(e) of title 38, United States Code, is amended— in the heading, by inserting after for a period of more than 30 days ; active duty in paragraph (1), by inserting for a period of more than 30 days after active duty ; and in paragraph (2), in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by inserting for a period of more than 30 days after active duty . The amendments made by subsection
(a)shall take effect on August 1, 2022.
