Sec. 1302. Conveyance of land subject to development agreement

Subject to valid and existing rights and notwithstanding sections 202 and 203 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 ( 43 U.S.C. 1712 , 1713), the Secretary shall convey to Washoe County, without consideration, all right, title, and interest of the United States in and to the land described in subsection (b). The land referred to in subsection
(a)is the approximately 1,158.22 acres of public land generally depicted as Lands for Disposal on the Map. The Secretary shall initiate the conveyance process under this section upon receipt by the Secretary of a written request submitted by the County. Any costs relating to the conveyance under subsection (a), including the costs of surveys and administrative costs, shall be paid by the County. The land conveyed under subsection
(a)shall be used for economic development, subject to a development agreement being entered into between the County and a County-approved user of the land. If any portion of the land conveyed under subsection
(a)is used in a manner inconsistent with the development agreement referred to in paragraph (1), the land shall revert, at the discretion of the Secretary, to the United States.
