Subsection
(a)of section 3518 of the CARES Act ( Public Law 116–136 ) is amended— by striking part A or B of title III, and inserting part A, part B, or subpart 1 of part E of title III, ; and by inserting 1067 et seq.; after 1060 et seq.; . Section 3518 of the CARES Act ( Public Law 116–136 ) is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: Notwithstanding subsection (a), the Secretary may not modify the required or allowable uses of funds for grants awarded under a statutory provision cited in subsection
(a)in a manner that deviates from the overall purpose of the grant program, as provided in the general authorization, findings, or purpose of the grant program under the applicable statutory provision cited in such subsection. . The amendments made by this section shall take effect as if included in the enactment of the CARES Act ( Public Law 116–136 ).
