Section 3503 of the CARES Act ( Public Law 116–136 ) is amended— by redesignating subsection
(b)as subsection (c); and by inserting after subsection
(a)the following: Notwithstanding any other provision of law, with respect to funds made available for award years 2019–2020 and 2020–2021, the Secretary shall waive any requirement that a nonprofit employer provide a non-Federal share to match Federal funds provided to such nonprofit employer under an agreement under section 443 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 1087–53 ). . The amendments made by subsection
(a)shall take effect as if included in the enactment of the CARES Act ( Public Law 116–136 ).
