In carrying out the duties under this section, the CMI shall consult representatives of relevant Federal agencies, and clinical and analytical experts with expertise in medicine and health care management, specifically such experts with expertise in— the health care needs of minority, rural, and underserved populations; and the financial needs of safety net, community-based, rural, and critical access providers, including federally qualified health centers. The CMI shall use open door forums or other mechanisms to seek external feedback from interested parties and incorporate that feedback into the development of models.
