Chapter 937 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by inserting after section 9280 the following new section: The President may award a decoration called the Space Force Medal , of appropriate design with accompanying ribbon, to any person who, while serving in any capacity with the Space Force, distinguishes himself or herself by heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy. Not more than one Space Force Medal may be awarded to a person. However, for each succeeding act that would otherwise justify award of such a medal, the President may award a suitable bar or other device to be worn as the President directs. .
The table of sections at the beginning of such chapter is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 9280 the following new item: 9280a. Space Force Medal: award; limitations. .
