Section 2922g of title 10, United States Code, is amended— by redesignating subsections
(b)and
(c)as subsections
(c)and (d), respectively; by inserting after subsection
(a)the following new subsection (b): Upon the end of the lease or service life of a motor vehicle, the Secretary of the military department or the head of the Defense Agency shall, to the maximum extent possible, replace such motor vehicle with a motor vehicle that uses an electric or hybrid propulsion system, including a plug-in hybrid system. ; in subsection (c), as so redesignated, by striking Subsection
