Section 301(a)(3) of the Omnibus Diplomatic Security and Antiterrorism Act of 1986 ( 22 U.S.C. 4831(a)(3) ) is amended— in the heading, by striking and inserting Afghanistan and ; and Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, and in subparagraph (A)— in clause (i), by striking Afghanistan or and inserting Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, or ; and in clause (ii), by striking beginning on October 1, 2005, and ending on September 30, 2009 and inserting beginning on October 1, 2020, and ending on September 30, 2022 .
