Section 958(b)(1) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 ( Public Law 116–92 ; 133 Stat. 1567; 10 U.S.C. 9081 note) is amended— in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking or the amendments made by this subtitle and inserting , the amendments made by this subtitle, or the amendments made by subtitle C of title IX of the ; William M.
(Mac)Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 in subparagraph (A), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (B), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and by adding at the end the following new subparagraphs: the authority of the Secretary of Defense with respect to the Air Force, members of the Air Force, or civilian employees of the Air Force may be exercised by the Secretary with respect to the Space Force, members of the Space Force, or civilian employees of the Space Force; and the authority of the Secretary of the Air Force with respect to the Air Force, members of the Air Force, or civilian employees of the Air Force may be exercised by the Secretary with respect to the Space Force, members of the Space Force, or civilian employees of the Space Force. .
