Section 1706 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (a)— in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking and each major automated information system program and inserting (as defined in section 2430 of this title), each acquisition program that is estimated by the Secretary of Defense to require an eventual total expenditure greater than the amount described in section 2430(a)(1)(B) of this title, and any other acquisition program identified by the Secretary ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: Program lead software. ; and by striking subsection (c).
