Section 804 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 ( 10 U.S.C. 2302 note) is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: Not later than 30 days after the date of termination of an acquisition program commenced using the authority under this section, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to Congress a notification of such termination. Such notice shall include— the initial amount of a contract awarded under such acquisition program; the aggregate amount of funds awarded under such contract; and written documentation of the reason for termination of such acquisition program. .
