Sec. 1281. Report on internally displaced peoples in Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, and Azerbaijan

Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of State, in coordination with the Secretary of Defense, shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report on the status of internally displaced persons in Ukraine, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The report required by subsection
(a)shall include an assessment of the following: The number of citizens of Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, and Azerbaijan who have been forcibly displaced in illegally occupied regions in Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, and Azerbaijan by foreign forces since 1991. The number of citizens of Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, and Azerbaijan who have been killed in regions illegally occupied by foreign forces since 1991. The report required by subsection
(a)shall be submitted in unclassified form, but may include a classified annex. In this section, the term appropriate congressional committees means— the congressional defense committees; the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives; and the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate and the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives.
