Subsection (d)(1) section 1286 of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 ( 10 U.S.C. 2358 note) is amended by striking (other than basic research) . Subsection
(e)of such section is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph: Not later than January 1, 2021, and annually thereafter, the Secretary shall submit to the congressional defense committees the most recently updated list described in subsection (c)(8) in unclassified form (but with a classified annex as applicable) and make the unclassified portion of each such list publicly available on an internet website in a searchable format. The Secretary may submit and publish an updated list described in subparagraph
(A)more frequently than required by such subparagraph if the Secretary determines necessary. .
