Sec. 911. Termination of position of Chief Management Officer of the Department of Defense

The position of Chief Management Officer of the Department of Defense is terminated, effective on the date specified by the Secretary of Defense, which date may not be later than September 30, 2022. The Secretary shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a notice on the effective date specified pursuant to paragraph (1). Section 132a of title 10, United States Code, is repealed. The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 4 of such title is amended by striking the item relating to section 132a. The amendments made by this subsection shall take effect on the effective date specified pursuant to subsection (a)(1).
