Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Secretary of the Army, shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report that includes the following elements: An analysis of the warfighting capability currently delivered by the Block I and Block II configurations of H–47 Chinook helicopters. An analysis of the feasibility and advisability of delaying or terminating the CH–47F Chinook Block-II upgrade. A plan to ensure that warfighter capability is not negatively affected by the delay or termination of the CH–47F Chinook Block-II upgrade. The report required under subsection
(a)shall be submitted in unclassified form, but may include a classified annex.
