Section 115(d) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in the first sentence, by striking the end strength for military technicians (dual status) and inserting both the minimum end strength for non-temporary military technicians (dual status) and the maximum end strength for temporary military technicians (dual status) ; and in the third sentence, by striking the end strength requested for military technicians (dual status) and inserting the minimum end strength for non-temporary military technicians (dual status), and the maximum end strength for temporary military technicians (dual status), requested . The amendments made by subsection
(a)shall take effect on the day after the date of the enactment of this Act. The amendment made by subsection (a)(2) shall apply with respect to budgets submitted by the President to Congress under section 1105 of title 31, United States Code, after such effective date.
