In this Act: The term appropriate congressional committees means— the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Financial Services of the House of Representatives; and the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Banking. The term atrocities has the meaning given the term in section 6(2) of the Elie Wiesel Genocide and Atrocities Prevention Act of 2018 ( Public Law 115–441 ; 22 U.S.C. 2656 note). The term forced labor has the meaning given the term in section 307 of the Tariff Act of 1930 ( 19 U.S.C. 1307 ).
The term person means an individual or entity. The term mass population surveillance system means installation and integration of facial recognition cameras, biometric data collection, cell phone surveillance, and artificial intelligence technology with the Sharp Eyes and Integrated Joint Operations Platform or other technologies that are used by Chinese security forces for surveillance and big-data predictive policing.
