This Act may be cited as the . Consumer Protections Against Surprise Medical Bills Act of 2020 The table of contents of this Act is as follows: Sec. 1. Short title; table of contents. Sec. 2. Consumer protections through requirements on health plans to prevent surprise medical bills for emergency services. Sec. 3. Consumer protections through requirements on health plans to prevent surprise medical bills for non-emergency services performed by nonparticipating providers at certain participating facilities.
