Section 621 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 ( 42 U.S.C. 17200 ) is amended to read as follows: Every 5 years after the date of enactment of Advanced Geothermal Research and Development Act of 2019 , the Secretary shall report to the Committee on Science and Technology of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate on advanced concepts and technologies to maximize the geothermal resource potential of the United States.
Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of the Advanced Geothermal Research and Development Act of 2019 , and every 2 years thereafter, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Science and Technology of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate a report on the results of projects undertaken under this part and other such information the Secretary considers appropriate. .
