Section 402(a)(2)(M)(i) of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 ( 8 U.S.C. 1612(a)(2)(M)(i) ) is amended— in subclause (I), by striking 9-year and inserting 10-year ; and in subclause (II), by striking 2-year and inserting 3-year . The heading for clause

(i)of section 402(a)(2)(M) of such Act is amended by striking and inserting Two-year extension . Extension The amendments made by this subsection shall take effect as of October 1, 2020.
