Section 9B(a) of the Act entitled An Act to define the area of the United States Capitol Grounds, to regulate the use thereof, and for other purposes , approved July 31, 1946 ( 2 U.S.C. 1967(a) ), is amended— by striking and at the end of paragraph (4); by striking the period at the end of paragraph
(5)and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: within any area, to enforce a citation issued with respect to a violation of section 102 of the Revised Statutes of the United States which relates to the House of Representatives, or any citation issued with respect to a resolution adopted by the House citing a person for contempt of the House. . The amendment made by subsection
(a)shall apply with respect to citations issued on or after the expiration of the 90-day period which begins on the date of the enactment of this Act.
