Sec. 503. Streamlining intake of asylum seekers

Not later than six months after the date of enactment of this Act, the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection shall implement a plan to improve the efficiency and accuracy of initial intake processes for all individuals in the custody of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to ensure that those individuals are transferred to the appropriate agency, or released with complete and accurate documents, within 72 hours of apprehension.
