Section 235(b) of the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 ( 8 U.S.C. 1232(b) ) is amended by adding at the end the following: If the Secretary of Health and Human Services considers placing an unaccompanied alien child with a potential sponsor, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall notify the Secretary of Health and Human Services of the immigration status of such potential sponsor before making such placement. The Secretary of Health and Human Services, upon request, shall provide to the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Attorney General any relevant information relating to an unaccompanied alien child who is, or has been, in the custody of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, including the location of such child and any person to whom custody of the child has been transferred, for any legitimate law enforcement objective, including the enforcement of the immigration laws. .
