Sec. 526. Strategic plan for diversity and inclusion

The Secretary of Defense shall design and implement a five-year strategic plan for diversity and inclusion in the Department of Defense. The strategic plan under this section— shall be based on the strategic plan established under section 2 of Executive Order 13583 (3 Fed. Reg. 13583 (August 18, 2011)); shall incorporate existing efforts to promote diversity and inclusion within the Department; and may not conflict with the objectives of the 2018 National Military Strategy. The Secretary shall implement the strategic plan under this section on January 1, 2020.
