Sec. 1630. Annual military cyberspace operations report

Not later than March 1 of each year, the Secretary of Defense shall provide to the congressional defense committees a written report detailing all military cyberspace operations conducted in the previous calendar year. For each such operation each such report shall include the following: An identification of the objective and purpose. Impacted information technology infrastructure, by location. A description of tools and capabilities utilized. An identification of the Cyber Mission Force team, or other Department of Defense entity or unit, that conducted such operation, and supporting teams, entities, or units.
A description of the infrastructure and platforms on which such operation occurred. A description of relevant legal, operational, and funding authorities, including Execute Orders and Deployment Orders. Information relating to the total amount of funding required and associated program elements. Any other matters the Secretary determines relevant. The Secretary of Defense shall provide each report required under subsection
(a)at a classification level the Secretary determines appropriate. This section does not apply to cyber-enabled military information support operations. In this section, the term military cyberspace operations means defensive and offensive— cyber effects enabling operations, activities, and missions; and cyber effects operations, activities, and missions.
