Effective October 1, 2021, section 2411(3) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking Director of Defense Logistics Agency and inserting Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment . Not later than November 1, 2020, the Secretary of Defense shall provide to the congressional defense committees a written report and briefing on the activities carried out in preparation for the transition of responsibilities for carrying out the procurement technical assistance cooperative agreement program under chapter 142 of title 10, United States Code, from the Director of Defense Logistics Agency to the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, as required by subsection (a).
Not later than February 1, 2022, and each fiscal year thereafter, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a budget justification display that includes the procurement technical assistance cooperative agreement program under chapter 142 of title 10, United States Code, as part of the budget justification for Operation and Maintenance, Defense-wide for the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
