A gun offender shall keep the registration updated and current for the full registration period (excluding any time the gun offender is in custody or civilly committed). The full registration period is— 3 years; or if the offender’s supervised release, probation or parole is longer than 3 years, the offender will remain on the registry throughout the duration of their supervision status.
