Section 40A(g) is amended to read as follows: In the case of any sale or use after December 31, 2022, subsections (b)(1)(A) and (b)(2)(A) shall be applied by substituting for $1.00 — $.75 , if such sale or use is before January 1, 2024, $.50 , if such sale or use is after December 31, 2023, and before January 1, 2025, and $.33 , if such sale or use is after December 31, 2024, and before January 1, 2026. This section shall not apply to any sale or use after December 31, 2025. .
Section 6426(c)(2) is amended to read as follows: For purposes of this subsection, the applicable amount is— $1.00 in the case of any sale or use for any period before January 1, 2023, $.75 in the case of any sale or use for any period after December 31, 2022, and before January 1, 2024, $.50 in the case of any sale or use for any period after December 31, 2023, and before January 1, 2025, and $.33 in the case of any sale or use for any period after December 31, 2024, and before January 1, 2026. .
Section 6426(c)(6) is amended by striking December 31, 2022 and inserting December 31, 2025 . Section 6427(e)(6)(B) is amended by striking December 31, 2022 and inserting December 31, 2025 . The amendments made by this section shall apply to fuel sold or used after December 31, 2022.
