The Secretaries may partner with and provide funds to States, local governments, Indian Tribes, the National Coordination Committee, voluntary private landowners, and the regional wildlife movement councils to support the purposes described in section 83211(b). To the maximum extent practicable and consistent with applicable law, the Secretary or Secretaries, as applicable, shall develop the strategy under section 83211(b), designate National Wildlife Corridors under section 83212, and manage National Wildlife Corridors under section 83213— in consultation and coordination with— other relevant Federal agencies;
States, including— State fish and wildlife agencies; and other State agencies responsible for managing the natural resources and wildlife; Indian Tribes; units of local government; other interested stakeholders identified by the Secretary, including applicable voluntary private landowners; landscape- and seascape-scale partnerships, including— the National Fish Habitat Partnership; the National Marine Fisheries Service; regional fishery management councils established under section 302(a) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act ( 16 U.S.C. 1852(a) ); relevant regional ocean partnerships; the Climate Science Centers of the Department of the Interior; and the Landscape Conservation Cooperative Network; the National Coordination Committee; and the regional wildlife movement councils.
