Sec. 60011. Program for supportive housing for the elderly

There is authorized to be appropriated $2,500,000,000 for— capital advances pursuant to section 202(c)(1) of the Housing Act of 1959 ( 12 U.S.C. 1701q(c)(1) ), including amendments to capital advance contracts for housing for the elderly as authorized by section 202 of such Act; project rental assistance for the elderly under section 202(c)(2) of such Act, including amendments to contracts for such assistance and renewal of expiring contracts for such assistance for up to a 1-year term; senior preservation rental assistance contracts, including renewals, as authorized by section 811(e) of the American Housing and Economic Opportunity Act of 2000 ( 12 U.S.C. 1701g note); and supportive services associated with housing assisted under paragraph (1), (2), or (3).
Any amounts appropriated pursuant to this section shall remain available until September 30, 2023. Not less than 10 percent of all amounts made available pursuant to this section shall be used only for activities relating to water and energy efficiency and, at the Secretary’s discretion, other strategies to enhance the environmental sustainability of housing production and design.
