Section 217 of title 23, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (d)— by striking 104(b)(3) and inserting 104(b)(4) ; and by striking a position and inserting one or more positions ; in subsection
(e)by striking bicycles and inserting pedestrians and bicyclists each place such term appears; and in subsection
(j)by striking paragraph
(2)and inserting the following: The term electric bicycle means any bicycle, tricycle, or other motorized conveyance— weighing under 100 pounds; with a low-powered electric motor; with a top motor-powered speed not in excess of 20 miles per hour; and that can safely share a bicycle transportation facility with other users of such facility. .
