Section 1011(a) of the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 ( 12 U.S.C. 5491(a) ) is amended by striking Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection and inserting Consumer Financial Protection Bureau . Any reference in any law, regulation, document, record, or other paper of the United States to the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection shall be deemed a reference to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau . Section 1011 of the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 ( 12 U.S.C. 5491 ) is amended by adding at the end the following:
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau shall refer to itself in any public communication, including on any website, as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau or the CFPB . .
