Part 6 of subtitle B of title I of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 ( 29 U.S.C. 1161 et seq.) shall apply only with respect to any employee health benefit plan that does not duplicate payments for any items or services for which payment may be made under the this Act. Section 601 of part 6 of subtitle B of title I of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 ( 19 U.S.C. 1161 ) is amended by adding the following subsection at the end: Subsection
(a)shall apply to any group health plan that does not duplicate payments for any items or services for which payment may be made under the Universal Health Insurance Act of 2017. .
