For purposes of construing this Act— section 4(b)(11) shall be construed in a manner that takes into account its similarities with section 302(b)(2)(A)(ii) of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ( 42 U.S.C. 12182(b)(2)(A)(ii) ); the first sentence of section 6(b)(5)(A) shall be construed in a manner that takes into account its similarities with section 35.105(a) of title 28, Code of Federal Regulations (as in effect on the day before the date of enactment of this Act); section 7 shall be construed in a manner that takes into account its similarities with section 807(a) of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 ( 42 U.S.C. 3607(a) ); section 8(a)(2) shall be construed in a manner that takes into account its similarities with section 308(a)(1) of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ( 42 U.S.C. 12188(a)(1) ); and section 8(d)(1)(B) shall be construed in a manner that takes into account its similarities with section 308(b)(1)(B) of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ( 42 U.S.C. 12188(b)(1)(B) ).
