The Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 ( 42 U.S.C. 5601 et seq.) is amended by adding at the end the following: There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out this Act— $160,000,000 for fiscal year 2017; $162,400,000 for fiscal year 2018; $164,836,000 for fiscal year 2019; $167,308,540 for fiscal year 2020; and $169,818,168 for fiscal year 2021. Not more than 20 percent of the amount authorized to be appropriated under subsection
(a)for a fiscal year may be used for mentoring programs. . The Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 is amended by striking— section 299 ( 42 U.S.C. 5671 ); section 388 ( 42 U.S.C. 5751 ); section 408 ( 42 U.S.C. 5777 ); and section 505 ( 42 U.S.C. 5784 ).
