It is the sense of Congress that the 2018 National Academies Astrobiology Strategy for the Search for Life in the Universe outlines the key scientific questions and methods for fulfilling NASA’s objective to search for life’s origin, evolution, distribution, and future in the universe. In support of the objective described in section 20102(d)(10) of title 51, United States Code, the Administrator shall continue to implement a collaborative, multidisciplinary science and technology development program to search for proof of the existence or historical existence of life beyond Earth. The program under paragraph
(1)shall include astronomy, biology, geology, and planetary science. In carrying out the program under paragraph (1), the Administrator may fund activities to search for and analyze technosignatures.
