If any provision of this Act, or an amendment made by this Act, or the application of such provision to any person or circumstance, is held to be invalid, the remainder of this Act, or an amendment made by this Act, or the application of such provision to other persons or circumstances, shall not be affected. Nothing in this Act, or an amendment made by this Act, shall be construed to— limit the ability of a State or Indian tribe to enact legislation with additional due process protections, additional rights for a respondent or subject of an extreme risk protection order, or higher standards of proof; or supersede or contradict any State or tribal law enacted before or after the date of enactment of this Act relating to the removal of firearms from individuals determined to be a danger to themselves or others.
