Section 243 of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1253 ) is amended— in subsection (a)— in paragraph (1), in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by inserting 212(a) or before 237(a), ; and by striking paragraph (3); by striking subsection (b); and by redesignating subsections
(c)and
(d)as subsections
(b)and (c), respectively. The amendments made by subsection (a)(1) shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act and shall apply to acts that are described in subparagraphs
(A)through
(D)of section 243(a)(1) of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1253(a)(1) ) that occur on or after such date of enactment.
