Sec. 1001. Waiver of non-Federal share requirements

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any amounts awarded for a covered disaster area relating to a covered disaster under the public assistance grant program shall not be subject to a non-Federal share requirement. The President shall contribute 100 percent of the cost of eligible hazard mitigation measures in a covered disaster area under section 404 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act ( 42 U.S.C. 5170c ). Notwithstanding section 408(g)(2)(A) of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act ( 42 U.S.C. 5174(g)(2)(A) ), or any other provision of law, for purposes of financial assistance provided under subsection
(c)of such section to an individual or household located in a covered disaster area, the Federal share shall be 100 percent.
