Section 405 of the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 ( 2 U.S.C. 1405 ) is amended by striking subsection
(e)and inserting the following: The Office shall have the authority to conduct investigations regarding complaints of covered harassment filed under this section, including investigations with respect to practices experienced by former covered employees that may be covered harassment. Reasonable prehearing discovery may be permitted at the discretion of the hearing officer regarding a complaint filed under this section. .
