Section 1062(a) of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 ( 42 U.S.C. 2000ee–1(a) ) is amended in the matter preceding paragraph
(1)by inserting , the Director of the National Security Agency, the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation after the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency . Paragraph (4)(A) of subsection
(m)of section 702 ( 50 U.S.C. 1881a ), as redesignated by sections 101 and 201, is amended— in clause (iii), by striking ; and and inserting a semicolon; in clause (iv), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new clause: a review by the privacy and civil liberties officer of the element of incidentally collected communications of United States persons to assess compliance with the minimization procedures adopted under subsection
(e)and the effect of this section on the privacy of United States persons. .
