Paragraph
(4)of section 3 of the National Security Act of 1947 ( 50 U.S.C. 3003(4) ) is amended— by redesignating subparagraphs
(H)through
(L)as subparagraphs
(I)through (M), respectively; and by inserting after subparagraph
(G)the following: The Counterintelligence Directorate of the Defense Security Service of the Department of Defense. . Beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act, any law, regulation, rule, or policy that applies to the elements of the intelligence community, as defined in section 3 of the National Security Act of 1947 ( 50 U.S.C. 3303 ), shall apply to the Counterintelligence Directorate of the Defense Security Service of the Department of Defense.
