Section 8(a)(2) of the Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989 ( 5 U.S.C. 5509 note) is amended to read as follows: $24,119,000 for fiscal year 2017 and $25,735,000 for each of fiscal years 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 to carry out subchapter II of chapter 12 of title 5, United States Code (as amended by this Act). . The amendment made by subsection
(a)shall be deemed to apply beginning on October 1, 2016.
