Sec. 1506. Report on cyber exchange program

Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Director of National Intelligence shall submit to the congressional intelligence committees a report on the potential establishment of a fully voluntary exchange program between elements of the intelligence community and private technology companies under which— an employee of an element of the intelligence community with demonstrated expertise and work experience in cybersecurity or related disciplines may elect to be temporarily detailed to a private technology company that has elected to receive the detailee; and an employee of a private technology company with demonstrated expertise and work experience in cybersecurity or related disciplines may elect to be temporarily detailed to an element of the intelligence community that has elected to receive the detailee.
The report under subsection
(a)shall include the following: An assessment of the feasibility of establishing the exchange program described in such subsection. Identification of any challenges in establishing the exchange program. An evaluation of the benefits to the intelligence community that would result from the exchange program.
