Not later than January 31, 2019, the Comptroller General of the United States shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report— comparing the cost expenditures of organic industrial depot maintenance of the E–8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System aircraft fleet versus contracted or non-organic maintenance; and comparing the cost variance and cost savings of different programmed depot maintenance cycles or procedures for the E–8C, including comparisons to such other platforms as the Comptroller General considers appropriate.
