Not later than July 31, 2019, the Secretary of Health and Human Services shall finalize the draft guidance for industry entitled “Bacterial Risk Control Strategies for Blood Collection Establishments and Transfusion Services to Enhance the Safety and Availability of Platelets for Transfusion” issued by the Food and Drug Administration in March of 2016.
